Behind the scenes
How the directory is maintained
- Every object is a canonical record with a unique ID, one primary name and optional aliases.
- Duplicates and near-duplicates are removed. Aliases (e.g. Sofa / Couch) resolve to one entry.
- Each object is tagged with a room, category and safety classification.
- The same database powers the homepage generator, so the list and the tool always stay in sync.
- The directory uses pseudorandom selection when objects are generated — not cryptographic randomness.
